Most probably because you're not on the latest update. Download the files and do it manually. And make sure you reboot it before checking what version you're at.

Edit: One other thing. If you're going to do it now you're... umm... nuts. Make sure you do it where you have easy access to get your car on a tow truck for taking back to the dealer for reflashing. ;)

99.9% of the time the car will not need to go to the dealer. DiabloSport can almost always flash the stock tune in over the phone. Don't freak people out for no reason.

Might be 'no reason' for you. For us here in Australia there's no help unless you call at 4 o'clock in the morning waiting on hold on an international call trying to pull yourself out of the shit for being keen enough to overlook the issues involved caused by a product put out before proper testing is complete. And where is 'F' version?

I must be that 0.1percent you are referring to.

It happened to me twice. The second time involved a tow and an expensive bill from the dealer.

DS offered to reimburse this but still was a mighty annoying inconvenience and embarrassing to be honest.

I'm waiting for f version too. F for fixed.

Hahaha.

I respect Mike_Levy as he seems to be very knowledgable on this stuff. However, i too must be one of the few, as my car was FUBAR'd and unfixable over the phone. Read my No Throttle post Aussie, you may reconsider tuning for now. As far as not having your vehicle on the tuner, I downloaded one of the files, gas version E, and it did not have any 2012 Dodges on it, but one did. I don't have the info in front of me as to which one did and did not, but you may download the other gas E CROM, then go through the vehicle selection.
Also, not dogging DS, but the tech at the Dodge house said that he has heard bad things about DS. Take it for what it's worth, a dealership tech downing something like this or whatever. He and I did talk about moding and tuning and he said that he has used tuners in the past and presently. We did discuss DS breaking the '11-12 codes on Chrysler products and I told him that as far as I know they are the only one and that some bugs are to be expected and that when I first used the Trinity, I was impressed. Lots of people have complained that no one had the codes figured out and were seemingly impatient to get tuners. Now they are out and there are problems. I see both sides, the business side and the consumer side. But as a consumer, I understand, having been through it this last week, how frustrating it can be to have these issues that disable your ride.

3 days later...STILL nothing from Diablo???....man, Tech Support is pretty poor reading how many on here self diagnose with help from others, very little from the manufacturer seems to happen here???

Who do I contact about a refund please, seeing your own site has now rendered my unit a total waste???

Theres no way to wipe out an entire manufacturer....

Power the unit up and go to options/show information, and tell me what the part and version are please.

Thanks

In fact, there is, it happened to mine too. Chrysler disappeared completely. As best as I can recall it occurred in the following order.

I received the tool brand new from the supplier. I had a quick look thru some of the menus and selected my car. (Same 6.4 300). I'm not sure what software it was loaded with when I got it, I did look but can't now remember.

I installed the dsdownloader etc (win 7 64) and plugged the tool in. It did an auto update and rebooted a couple of times. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and there were no further auto updates.

I checked out the menus etc and wtf, no Chrysler.

So I manually downloaded the trinity-1r09.crom file and the update trinity_dcx_gas-1r09e_update.crom

I then overwrote the tool with the 1r09.crom file followed by the e update file.

Chrysler was back. I then plugged it in to the pc again and it auto updated with the other manufacturer files.

I again selected my car and have yet to plug it in to the vehicle. I'm not game enough to do that yet.

Piggy I did the exact same thing...gave up growing old waiting for 'tech support' to finish level 37 on WOW.

Mine now has Chrysler back in the menu.

NOW...when I plug the bloody thing in the car I get this???

I'm wondering if your problem isn't the fact that you have the date 11/28 rather than the 12/6 version of 'e'. I think there may be another thread about this.

Disclaimer: I'm just guessing, trying to help, I'm certainly no expert on Trinity's. I've owned one about the same length of time you have.

Well I think you can put me down a good number of levels lower just to be safe. lol. I just went out and plugged mine in and it shows the same date you have so I guess you can scrap that idea. I even reselected the car a couple of times and it still comes up with 11/28.

So you've tried plugging it into your pc with the dsdownloader running and and see if it updates anything in the tool? (of course you need to have the factory tune in the car before you update the tool.)
