Rev Limit not working?
Rev Limit not working?
Hey guys, I have a 2011 chally 6 speed. Last week I had the car dyno tuned w the InTune from a reputable shop. I had srt headers and cats installed at same time. I am however, having a few issues. I've tried to raise the rev limit buts its still kicking me down at about 5700- 5800 rpms. Shop had it at 6200. I raised it to 6400 and still the same results. Should I max it out at 6600? I know, I don't want it that high.... I would like it to be 6000- 6100.
2nd issue... is my skip shift seems to come on a lot now. I read in another thread that mike could shut it off.
3rd ... Throttle boost. I raised it to 10%. Didn't really do much . I have a liitle hesitation in First gear. I guess ill max it out at 20% and see how that is. What would you recommend? I hate to keep screwing w the tuner and loading tunes on and off.
Last ... shop has the AC fans set to off . Is that right?
I hope Mike is listening ... Don't get me wrong the car now has some nice midrange power now. According to Dyno jet shes at 374 rwhp & 409tq. I just would like to get these smaller issues cleared up. Thanks John N

Re: Rev Limit not working?
alright I put it on, and put throttle up to 20%. Your file is saying not downloaded yet but I got it on InTune and car took it. Im assuming it saying not downloaded yet because I didn't put it on my computer. InTune did recognize the file . Does that sound right to you? Ill test car out later when I go to work then get back to you tomorrow. Are you able to turn off skip shift? thanks

Re: Rev Limit not working?
you have to load that tune to the intune, let it import, then go to the car and load the custom tune...

Re: Rev Limit not working?
Hey Mike, It seems a little bit better . Digital readout looked like it got very close to 6000 last night , looked like 5920 was the last number I saw. Honestly though it could have been doing that before. I would like it to go as high as 6100 before it kicks me down. I don't plan on shifting at 6100 but figuring if i over shoot a little, i would prefer not falling on my face. Is their anything else you can do?
Throttle boost is working better at 20% though... so that's good
Are you able to turn off my skip shift completely? ...Its kind of annoying now
Thanks John N

Re: Rev Limit not working?
the pcm forces you to go from 1st to 4th gear, thus skipping 2nd and 3rd for economy purposes.

Re: Rev Limit not working?
Ok Mike , Skip shift is off. Rev limit is about as high as engine will let it go to. I think the 5.7 will only really rev till about 5950 before its just to much for it. Car is good now
. Thanks for your help. Tech support is great w you guys. Its nice to know that your not just buying the tuner your getting the tech support w it. I am Happy......Thanks John N
