2009 silverado

Post by slayden457 »

I am thinking of purchasing a intune. Is there anyone out there that has a 2009 chevy silverado or similar that currenly has one that can tell me what they think. Is it worth it? Also what canned tune are you using. I have a Volant CAI and Magnaflow exhaust dumped.

hope it's not the powercore filter... those things are terrible for the trucks... makes them run pig rich.... you'll definitely want to get an intune and a custom tune for it to get things adjusted correctly for that setup.... which I can hook you up with whenever you're ready - www.diablewtune.com

for more/better responses to your question about how others like it, head over to the forum www.silveradosierra.com - there's a lot of happy/satisfied diablo users over there.. ;)

I have a 09 Silverado with a 5.3L. I just installed the performance tune in February and I do notice a difference in power. Honestly just being able to shut off the V4 mode and turning off the speed limiter were made this purchase worth it to me but the added performance is also nice.

I forgot to mention....having the ability to check and clear error codes and not have to run to the dealership every time is also very convenient. Sure beats driving to the dealer, wasting time and gas just to get there and wait again only for them to clear the code and tell you its a loose gas cap or an 02 sensor needs to be replaced.

I have an 09 Sierra, 5.3 4 speed, I love my inTune! I have it set on 87 octane, DOD off, firm shifts and tire size recal (the tire size recal is off by a bit, but no biggie). I have increased my throttle response, and my fuel mileage has gone up by an average of 3 mpg!

Truck has a K&N intake, MBRP exhaust...

You'll love it!

As Lew said above, you should also come by SilveradoSierra.com and check it out!

I know this may be a dumb question but what is DOD? I am aware of AFM and I HATE IT!!! but not to sure what DOD is and what it does for my truck. :punisher:
