2012 Durango write fail in recovery mode.
2012 Durango write fail in recovery mode.
Went to install the 91 tune from the 87 tune and had a write fail. I popped the push button and inserted the key fob as I was told to do. As I clicked the button on the tuner when it said to it went throught a couple of "cycles" it said the write failed and asked to continue. It then tried to install the original tune and failed on it too. So what do I do? I heard about this on this forum and was worried it would happen because I never got clear instructions on what exactly we do with push button. You guys have been great with my Magnum over the years so I am hoping to get this problem fixed and enjoy the tuner. Please help and provide clear and exact instructions for this problem. Thank you for your time.

Still on hold.....

Is it possible to get an estimate on your hold times? I only have so long before I have to leave for work.....

Thanks for the help with the reset Mike. It installed just fine. Now if I can just get the small hesitation between 1-2 and 2-3 under light throttle to go away it will be 100%! Would the partial throttle up-shift adjustment be something that could help with that hesitation between the gears?

Does it do that stock as well?
Id start a thread somewhere and see if others are having this issue...

No it didn't do it with the stock tune.
Re: 2012 Durango write fail in recovery mode.
I posted up a thread on one of the forums I'm on. Us Diablo guys are taking a beating out there because of the issues with the DCX compared to the Hypertech. I plan on doing a CMR soon so maybe the hesitation will be seen in the data log and we can fix it there. Thanks again for your help.

ask them hypertech fans how they like their factory Torque management
then ask them if they want to race
then ask them if they want to race

Re: 2012 Durango write fail in recovery mode.
Do we have a setting to reduce the TQ mangmt?

Oh I know you guys are the leader out there....those guys are just pissed they spent the money before the DCX came out so they are jealous and bashing makes them feel better.
Also if I need to flash it to stock do I just click "restore vehicle"? There is a TSB that might help my hesitation between gears but I just need to make sure there is no sign of the tune when they plug the rig in at the dealer. There is no "footprint" that the dealer can detect correct?

Yes, tune vehicle/restore vehicle, there is nothing for them to see

Thanks! And good to know that the TQ Mgmnt is reduced....I don't think that the guys out there are aware of that!
