Update taking over an hour?

Post by jake65892 »

Just bought my Intune off my buddy. No idea when it was last plugged in to be updated. I plugged it in and ran the updater, however all I see on the computer is "DO NOT UNPLUG! Updates loaded to inTune. It will reboot automatically. This process may take several minutes, please be patient." My inTune screen just has the logo in the top middle with the ? to the right.

Its been over an hour like this. Should I keep waiting or unplug and try again? If I try to explore the USB drive it says its not connected.

I am on windows Vista if it helps.

I took the risk and unplugged after 1 hour 45 minutes. I guess a driver didn't install properly since it asked for me to install again. It now says "preparing" on the inTune.

Hi, it seems my inTune took the updates okay, it rebooted, but it's been 'Preparing' for about 30 minutes so far. Can someone tell me how long it should take?

Thanks,

Actually, I'm good - it's 'Writing' now.

So, about 45 minutes in the 'Programming' stage for me anyway....

Can't wait to check it out! :D

Just bought a used intune offline and it has been on a white screen updating for over 3 hours is this normal? Should I unplug? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if the screen is just all white, you're screwed... it has issues...

and if it's been 3 hours, it's not doing anything at this point..

unplug it, wait for 1 or 2 minutes, then reconnect it, and see if it does anything....
