Torque management

Post by booj2009 »

Okay i have been hearing all kinds of different dates on this parameter to remove most of the tm and i really want to know the truth because that is the only reason im looking at the diablo predator because ya'll are the only ones that say ya'll are going to be able to remove the tm. I mean man it may not add horse power but im tired of trucks blowing me off the line because it creeps off of it.
Im not trying to be an ass but i want to know the truth about how close ya'll really are.

I have mine for about a week now on an '05 with the 5.3L. I can tell you this, it now comes of the line like I never expected it to. I have 20" with the 3.23 and can break 'em loose off the line (not too far, but at least they yelp). What I like about the Diablo product is you can change many of the important settings, if you know what you are doing (I don't yet), and you can restore it all to a backup that is stored in the Predator at any time. This is important if you want to preserve your warranty with the dealer. It was either this one (the others are junk) or the customer tune (Westers, etc) which does not give you the flexibility you need.

So, to answer your question, go for it. The only disappointment to me was not being able to download to a PC (after buying the kit) which doesn't work yet. They say they are working on it, but some folks have been waiting quite a bit of time and it still isn't in sight.

How about we all quit pestering these guys and let them get back to work and get this all settled? I think we have all seen, "it is under development. I have no dates as of yet". I've been reading this board for about a month now and has seen the same posting about TM way too many times. This obviously isn't as easy as changing your underwear. Cut them some slack and it will be done when its done. If you don't have time to wait for it to be done, just remember no one else has this even under development (to the best of my knowledge)

I hear that, I'm tired of hearing it myself.

On a side note, maybe, I'm interested in a rear gear change, any chance we can get an advanced release on at least that option soon?
