superchargers. who's running what.

Hey everyone, i'm a phone call away from ordering a supercharger. i would like to know who has what and how do you like it. i was looking at the ripp kit and the vortech in that kit runs efficiently. Any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks.

I installed the Ripp in a 13 Wrangler Unlimited back in late September. The installation was pretty straightforward. It's a V6 so there's some difference. Have had issues with fuel ratio and misfiring when cold ever since. Have done the logging and emailing bit and uploaded 10 tunes trying to fix it. The check engine lights have stopped but it still misses when cold. The power is nice when it's running OK but would have to say I'm not pleased with the misfires.
Ripp says they have done all they can do so I'm kinda left holding the bag.
I recently found the misfire counters in the Trinity and cylinder #3 seems to be counting when none of the others are. I'm going to swap some injectors and look for the miss to move. A bad fuel injector is about all there is left to try I guess.

On a heavy truck, I wouldn't even consider centrifugal. You need the torque and instant boost provided by a positive displacement blower. Whipple or Kenne Bell would be my first choice, but if necessary Magnacharger would work too.

well after some research and emails and of course your input, Whipple is releasing a full bolt on kit for my truck ......in 3 months. oh well it will be worth it. The ripp kit is nice but for what I'm looking for positive displacement is the only way.
