New User Predator

Post by Jefferyd32 »

I just acquired a Predator for my 2008 Dodge Charger R/T. Upon plugging in the Predator it stated that the device needed to be updated. I don't have easy access to a PC and everything I read on here seems to reference an InTune and not the predator. How can I update my Predator so I can get it working? I do not have parallels or boot camp either. Thanks.

you HAVE to use a Windows PC/laptop for the predator.. all of the software you'd need to use, is all Windows-only.. can't do anything for it with a Mac...

you'd need to download/install all of the necessary windows programs, and you also need to have the pc interface kit for the predator, which is the usb/serial cable and power adapter needed so that you can connect it to a Windows PC/laptop....

I am experimenting with using Crossover which allows you to run a Windows program on my mac, however there appears to be an issue with it recognizing the USB to serial. There may be a solution, but it is definitely more technical than I was hoping for. I have some vague directions, so if anyone has anything better that would be great.
