battery charge while installing diablo help

hello, I am new to this site about 2 minutes ago. I have been reading up on how to correctly install the preditor tuner on my car.
I have a 2002 pontiac trans am and have read to basically have doors closed and dont touch anything while the tune does its thing to reduce killing your battery and messing up the PCM. Well I was going to hook up a battery charger to the car while installing to make sure nothing happens. But do I hook the battery charger up to the terminals, get in the car close door then plug the tuner in and let it do it s thing, while keeping the battery charger on the whole time? This might sound like a dumb question or has been covered before but new to this forum so dont know where to look on here. If anyone has any good input on how to put the battery charger on and install the tune the best way without causing problems please let me know. I new to the handheld game so just wanted some good input thanks and god bless.

you can connect the charger to the battery, then begin the tuning process. There's no issues with using a charger.
