Can't wait to get home, update the trinity, and install a tune.

updated my trinity, went to install it on the car, picked 2009, dodge, caliber srt-4, 2.4L turbocharged, as soon as I go to the performance section it tells me I need an update. I've done the 1r11 update and both the dcx updates that were released on 3/14 is there something I'm missing here?

Never mind finally got the option in the dsdownloader to update calibration. Flashing tune now.
Re: Caliber SRT4, Avenger/Sebring/200, 14 Ram 6 speed added!
My 2014 avenger ran great last night bow its running like crap. No throttle input at all and got a code for p0506 idle control system. I now am putting my car back to stock tell you fix these issues.

I'm also having throttle issued on the 93 octane tune in my 09 caliber srt4. It will idle okay. I give it throttle and let up on the clutch to move and it immediately cuts throttle and sits there hardly idling at 500rpm sometimes stalling. Then will idle back up but if I try to move again process repeats. Went back to stock and the throttle is fine again.

Thats wierd that two different car types have the same issue. Sounds like thete update had a flaw in it somewhere. My car ran like a beast last night. As soon as it cooled down and started this morning bam cant idle at all it had a sporadic idle going from 500 to 750

Did you load the tune as is, or make any changes?awd1990tsi wrote:I'm also having throttle issued on the 93 octane tune in my 09 caliber srt4. It will idle okay. Please go to options/troubleshooting/show calid and tell me what the calibration ID is.
Thanks

I figured out the cause of my issue. I did modify 1 parameter. The speed limiter set it to 180 and apparently it didn't like that. Throttle works a treat now. I'm having some other issues but I'm going to put some colder range plugs in it now gapped smaller to make sure the car isn't at fault for them.

Changed plugs to bkr6eix and gapped to .034 think it solved my running issues. Thing pulls like an animal.

Re: Caliber SRT4, Avenger/Sebring/200, 14 Ram 6 speed added!
so do we have any specs for whats been modified in the tunes right out the box?
Also the advertisement for the Caliber srt4 on the DS homepage shows that it's supposed to have a 93 and a 91 tune as well as a factory hp tune. The only ones that are available on my unit after the updates are the 93 tune, and a modify stock tune. Just curious if that was a typo on the ad, or if something didn't go right when updating my trinity.

My 2013 Avenger R/T is a rocket!
I flashed just like everyone else, but I will strongly recommend those who have backed up there cpm software and flashed with DS software, remember to shut down everything when the DS programmer tells you too! This means once the initial flash is in, you have to shut down the CAN bus, this is accomplished by turning the key off, unplug the Trinity, open the drivers door. Once this is completed, you can close your door, turn your key on and try to start the car. If the car starts, your good, now plug the programmer back in and perform the flash update again based on the tune you want to install. Once the install is completed again, follow the instructions on the Trinity and all will be well.
It seems the pcm gets confused for a moment and thats why you have to disconnect the Trinity as the Trinity keeps the CAN bus alive and you can't totally get the pcm updated. It is time consuming at the initial install, but once thats completed you can change the tune to any DS tune within a minute.
Currently I'm running the 93octane tune on my R/T, I also have a Mopar CAI and exhaust. The few adjustments I made were:
Cooling fans on about 20deg earlier than stock
WOT - added 5% fuel
Rev limiter in Neutral/Drive maxed out
Speed limiter maxed out
When I take off in Autostick w/traction control disabled by OEM button and not DS, the car blazes the tires in first, I go to grab second at 7000rpm but the OE programming takes over and shifts before that, then I grab 3rd and before I know it I'm already hitting over 60mph.
Mike,
Is there any way to bypass the OEM upshift/downshift feature on the Autostick cars?
My R/T pulled hard right up to the OEM shift point, and I feel the car can rev higher than that and keep pulling. Another thing is TQ converter lockup, I would like to see if that's possibly adjustable as I would not like to see it lock until I'm cruising at least 50mph or higher in 5th or 6th gear. Currently it still locks up in 4th at the stock level and I hear my car start bogging when it happens because depending on throttle input/speed it is really affecting my overall MPG because it locks up way to soon and I have to give more throttle to get it out of lockout to maintain the speed I'm in at 4th gear.
All in all, I'm definitely impressed again with the DS programmer!
Thanks again for finally getting a tune out for us FWD performance people!
