Cannot load custon tune to Intune DCX

Post by anarchy »

Hi,having problems here, hopefully someone can elighten me. First thing im going to say,is I dislike the Intune. Ive used several and each one has given me some kind of grief, wether it updates for hours on end or freezing up and what not. So I have a Intune DCX here. First problem it gives me is when i loaded the diablo tune into a 2011 challenger RT, The pcm freezes up after flashing and has no response to key cycles.Ok so after the intune goes into recovery mode and flashes back to ORI after disconnecting the battery,It happens everytime i try to flash with intune. So i leave the Intune hooked up to my laptop so it is powered up after the PCM locks up and disconnect the battery, reconnect and finally it will verify the tune without going into recovery, problem solved I guess. So This car got a procharger and I built a custom tune for it. I keep a Trinity personally, that i use to build tunes with, cause they work so nice and fast. I have no issues flashing with the Trinity on this car. So i built the custom tune using the trinity and get it done. Now I know the Trinity and intune file formats are different(I found this out the hard way before). So I flash the 2011 chally with the intune again to get the the ORI. I take the intune ORI and apply the supercharger calibration file made from the trinity tune and apply it to the intune ori and save it. For whatever reason when i drag, copy, cut the tune into the intune folder, the intune never asks to import the file, and it does not show up as a custom tune, but it is in the folder. What am i doing wrong? Please dont say it is because of the trinity cal file, because I used this same method tuning a srt4 without a problem. Thanks Jesse

id try deleting the file from the drive, reboot the tool, and then reload the file to the drive, it should import fine.

I had another tuner earlier today with the exact same issue, and for some reason he had to switch PCs to get it to import the file...are you maybe running Win8?

Id also make sure the tool is fully updated, 1r03h is current.if cmr is installed, the updater will lie to you and say the tool is up to date, you can click update/check now to confirm.

Thanks

Ok tune loaded, but still having that pcm lock up issue after flashing. You turn the key off,but it wont cycle back on. If your reading this, make sure you have the intune plugged in via usb,it could probably be done with just a phone charger, then disconnect the car battery and reconnect. This will reset the PCM, so it will power back on and finish verifying the tune. If you dont hook up the intune to an external power source,it will just shut off when you disconnect the battery, and forever be stuck in recovery mode until you do use this method. Hopefully this will help someone and save some aggravation, thinking your pcm is bricked, until this problem is fixed. Jesse

"then disconnect the car battery and reconnect." have you tried it just pulling the pcm fuse instead of a complete disconnect?

And thats a better idea. Guess I didnt think of that out of being completely pissed off at the time. I have to do that to gm TCM's after reading. Thanks for the input.

Yes it in now fully updated¿.. And i spoke with mike on the phone(i Believe you?) ..got it fully updated and outa recovery.. And now that its back i still cannot get it to install the tune:/ i click the top icon.. I believe it's"Load new tune"Or load tune? Anyways I click on that And it bounces me back to the home screen?? So basically still nothing is changed Other then The handheld now being out of recovery mode(Mike did over the phone and over the computer and updated) .. But now I am worried that it somehow bricked my ECU.. I've spoken with other people And they said that is there fear..:(.. Very disappointed that this can even happen I would really appreciate anybody and everybody's input And Mike at Diablo I would very much appreciate it if you can try to help me get this thing started As I am out my car/Daily driver....i have added nothing big electrical? Actually the Entire Twin turbo build was Mechanical.. The only thing At all shape or form electrical was the tea taps for the pen style turbo timer.. Even the boost controller is a manual mechanical controller :( people are saying that If it didn't flash correctly or lost/low voltage Then I could have bricked my ECU.. And it saying lost communication to EC you on my normal check engine light scanner Is what is making people say this?? So please Mike help let me know I will be here Also here's my email address [email protected] ---so please help me i have a 30k car sitting here dead in the water:/ just very Disappointed:(
