New to programmers

Post by broz2006 »

Just purchased a trinity and this is my first programmer I have owned that being said I have done a lot of performance tuning and engine building in my past.

I am putting this on a 2008 Silverado 1500 5.3 with a 6" lift and it gets terrible mileage averages 12. can I expect to see a gain? or will the added power in the tune be noticeable? played with it a little this afternoon and actually ran a fast 0-60 time with the stock tune over the diablo tune. not sure what happened there.... hopefully I see something out of this.

Any experiences you all have to share would be appreciated.

And what is torque management? Sounds like something I don't want can I shut it off?

you should notice the power, and you may see gains of 1-2 MPG on the highways ;)

TM is reduced heavily in the tunes to start with.

So us there a thread on here with a crash course on how to modify tunes I'm monitoring trims and assuming that I need to get those to read 0.00 for the optimal tune? Maybe
