ETA?

Post by puller24 »

I'm sure this horse is dead...wondering on the eta of u7146 update (if any). I was told a rough estimate for dataviewer 3.1 is 4-6 weeks? Sound right?

Very rough :-) The DataViewer update will be independent of the 7146 update, as it will be piggy backing on the old CMR_DAT protocol.

what about the 7146 update? i can't even adjust my idle or rev limiter as it recognizes my car as an auto. and not a manual so im hoping the update will cure that. tech support says they have to write a tune for me

We are close with the update with that Predator. We are more than 80% done with the development side of it.

Currently we can write you a custom tune to cure your issue until the update is done.

Thanks cole/john/christina (tech suport) between you guys I've re-gained some confidence in this tool which until a few days ago found it very quirky and overly user-friendly. If you write a tune due to my issues with idle/rev limit, after I upload to the tool will I still be able to adjust other parameters like fuel, timing, gear ratio etc. without undoing your work to fix my rev limiter/idle speed?

Yes you can still modify your parameters with a custom tune installed.

I'll believe it when I see it. You've been promising this update for over a year now always saying it is almost done. As far as I'm concerned this item was sold on false advertising as it doesn't do half the things advertised. I'm getting really fed up with these promises that never materialize. What kind of operation are you running where your development can't put out a simple upgrade to fix a product that obviously does not do what is advertises. So I'm not surprised the estimate is very rough...
