Hi guys,
I just purchased the T-1000 today for my 2014 Challenger. I was looking to see if anyone has attempted to install a tune on a 2013-2014 with the 5.7 Hemi. Other than having to pull the ignition button out have you run into any other problems or issues? Have you noticed better performance or mpg based on your tune? Did you use the Diablo installed tunes or another tune?
Thanks
J

Re: 2014 Dodge Challenger RT
I also have a 2014 Challenger R/T with 5.7 Hemi. I recently purchased the Trinity T-1000 and installed the Diablo 91 octane tune. I took forever (45 to 60 minutes) and my headlights and all dash lights stayed on the entire time. I kind of freaked out. I would recommend putting a charger on the battery during the install. I also firmed up the shift and turned off the MDS. The car ran much better than stock for sure. I also have a Mopar CAI and changed exhaust to free flowing mufflers. My problem is when I tried to reinstall my stock tune for a dealer visit/oil change/warranty work, It hangs up at” turn key off”. On the second attempt it did the same thing but now the stock tune is gone from the Trinity. I am hoping that it is restored to the car. I hope all goes well with your Install. Let me know how it goes.
Re: 2014 Dodge Challenger RT
I have a 2014 RT with the American Thunder Exhaust and Cold air induction and changed out the Thermostat to the 180.....it's starting to run a little cooler......but still haven't noticed where it runs at 180........I did take the button out when having the tune installed......after everything was updated it went well.....When and where do and how do you turn off the MDS ?.....We did 2 .......0-60 first one pre tune was 51-5.3.....Post tune........did 4.7 8.....This was done in a down hill area and I'm sure it would be higher on flat ground.....but that was the increase in the same location......

Re: 2014 Dodge Challenger RT
after you select the tune, choose the option to modify the tune, then go to MDS, set it to OFF, then back out until it asks to install the tune and choose Yes.
Thanks

Re: 2014 Dodge Challenger RT
Here is my Build:
Tuner: Diablosport T1000 Software Revision: v.1.r.13
I had no problems with the tuner. I did all tune installs with the start button removed and the key in the ignition.
Backing up the stock tune took quite a while but after that changing between Diablosport/custom tunes takes less than 15 minutes.
Make: Dodge
Model: Challenger R/T (Shaker Edition)
Year:2014

- Kooks Long Tube Headers & High Flow Cats
- Custom tune (Modified Diablo 93 Octane Tune)
Here are the Dyno results as the modifications were made:
