Equivalence ratio

Post by 09silvy »

I have an 09 silverado with the 5.3L and 87 octane tune installed. I am trying to dial in my WOT fueling and it seems like I remember reading that you do that by the equivalence ratio. When I try to log equivalence ratio parameter with my intune I do not get a number reading there is just a bunch of gibberish there where the reading should be. Am I doing something wrong?

no need to change the WOT fueling.. the preset tunes lean it out pretty good as it is.. I would leave it..

I actually end up having to richen it up a little actually when I do custom tunes for people, to reduce/eliminate knock retard...

10-4. I'm looking at the possibility of getting you to do a custom tune for me in the near future. I was reading the info on your site and it says you just need a log of 3-5 minutes running between 1800-2500 when the engine is warmed up. You can get everything you need from that without any WOT pulls or other driving conditions? Or is that just for the initial tune and you dial it in more from there?

WOT logging comes after the part-throttle steady driving part of the tune.. ;)
