reset tcm?

Post by newuser »

Just got my t1000 in the mail yesterday, installed the 93 tune and filled up with 94 octane from petro canada. Also adjusted the throttle response (I used 10%). The amount of pedal needed to get this thing to move around is now what I consider "fixed" :D So thanks for that! Could never stand that huge play in the pedal.

I'm uncertain about the power gains from the 93 tune + 94 octane. I will wait for at least 2 full gas tanks running through before looking hard at that aspect. My L/100KM has gone down half a litre (from 13.5 to 13.1), which is nice and makes me hopefull, but that was just a little bit of driving around and way to early to look for MPG gains.

But; I see no option to reset the tcm learning thing? The website shows this should be available for my jeep (2012 GC laredo with the 3.6). But it doesn't show up anywhere in the performance menu. Not if I select the 93 tune and try to modify that tune, nor under quick parameters in the main performance menu (not under a specific tune). Specifcally, I'm looking for the option that resets the memory of the transmission; apparently it learns how you drive and adapts to that, there was supposed to be an option in the T1000 to wipe that memory and make it relearn...?

Under the Quick Adjust -> Transmission menu. Also discussed here:

There is no "transmission" option, in "Quick Adjust". I'll take a picture in case anyone wants proof :)

You have to make that adjustment while loading the tune. When you select modify tune you should see it in the transmission section.
