'13 Challenger R/T - ESP disable

Post by HeyBurton »

If I disable ESP with the DCX, will it stay that way until I enable it again through the tuner, or does it revert to enabled after shutting the car off and restarting? I'd be using this function at the track and I have to have ESP disabled fully in order for the line lock to work properly, apparently.

it will reengage each time you shut the car off and start it back up.

Is it possible to get a tune that would keep ESP completely off, so that I could use it at the track? The car gets shut off and restarted several times while on the way up to the staging lanes, and I need it off for my line lock to work.

Thanks, Mike. I won't be able to do that until after you're gone for the day today, but I'll upload it tonight. I really appreciate the help.

Hey Mike,

Sorry for the delay in getting this to you. Attached is the last tune written, and the one I'd want modified so that anything having to do with traction control, etc., is turned off as long as the tune is loaded. It's just for track use (loaded on at the track and a canned tune loaded before leaving the track) so that I can do a proper burnout with the Hurst line lock without the car trying to shut it down.

Cheers,
Chris

Perfect, that's exactly what I needed, thanks Mike! It's just for the track, definitely not for the streets.

Cheers!

I have a 13 Challenger w/ 6psd manual and STP. If you hold the traction control button in for 8 seconds while the car is at a stop, it will fully deactivate the ESC also. This is what Dodge did so you can take the car to the track. It resets every time after you restart the car.
