I hope this is the correct place for an intro:
I'm Dan, and I am VERY new to 'tuning'. Please forgive any novice/newbie/ignorant questions.
I will endeavor to search the forums for answers before lobbing questions.
Recently acquired a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 Z71 with 169K. 5.3L v8. Great shape, and looks good, too.
In an attempt to learn a little more about 'DIY' mods, I came across numerous suggestions to look into DS.
My Trinity arrived this evening, and I've already done a little tuning. Set it for the '87 Tune', and adjusted the tire height to reflect the 33's.
I've installed a K&N cai, as well as Flowmaster exhaust system. Like I said, not a mechanic, but just trying to do a few things myself.
Anyway, been in an attic all day, (here in Sunny F-L-A), so my brains a little foggy. Just wanted to introduce myself, and thank you guys in advance for all I've learned, and for the things I've yet to learn to pep up my truck. Any suggestions, corrections, or criticisms welcome.

Re: Brief Introduction
Thanks, Matt.
Doin' all the research I can for performance, (ie, off the line acceleration, making the shift a little more "abrupt", things like that). I live close to Tampa, and mileage be damned, I need to get in and out of traffic from a dead standstill to keep from being killed
. While I'm not an aggressive driver, or foot-to-the-firewall guy, one has to be able to dart when in Tampa or Brandon.
Gonna search around, then tinker as my education expands.
I'll post my impressions for those that are interested.
thanks,
dan

Torque Management "off".
...yeah, I'm likin' it!
Moving on to WOT and Shift Firmness. May have a question or two after the research.
