T-1000 Tuner Shell.. When creativity backfires

Post by Markerbe1 »

Well, here goes my embarrassing post... I was trying to paint the shell of my tuner and i messed up on the paint, so i tried stripping it... when i used the acetone to strip it well... bad idea.. needless to say i need a new shell because i screwed mine up.. how screwed am i? can i get a new one?

if you cant tell im bad at painting things.. I shall never attempt this again.. so mad! :normal: :punisher: :crashing:

Sorry, just now checking the forum. The tool still works it's just the front portion of the case that got messed up. The plastic got all soft and it disfigured it. I sanded is smooth (somewhat) but the circle part where the 4 directional button literally got eaten away. My method was working fine till I got distracted and forgot about it... The screws to hold it together just push right in, I didn't even have to screw them. I need a new faceplate... Was hoping someone had a broken one laying around I could use for parts or if I could buy a new shell. My buddy suggested I fiberglass a new one, but I'm no good at that stuff. If i can't find a donor tuner then I guess my tuner will have to live in the padded pouch I bought it. Haha.
