New to Diablosport

Post by Hemilicious »

Hi i have a 2013 Dodge Ram Hemi 5.7 and just bought an I2 for it and I can't get the traction control to disable any help would be greatly appreciated, also have a couple of questions about the adjustable parameters first I don't have an adjustment for the shift firmness and also I don't have an autostick auto upshift, but then I do have a place to adjust part throttle upshift and also have an adjustment for the throttle. I would like to know why I don't have these adjustments I don't have and I would like to know what these other adjustments do, also I am having the same problem some other I2 owners on here are having that my truck will just die if I take the speed limiter off I was just wondering if you are getting closer to fixing this problem I would appreciate any help or update possible. One more thing I would like to know is the diablo tune in the advanced tunes a 93 octane tune. Thanks

speed limiter will disable fine through the advanced tune menu, its only an issue if you disable it through the easy tune option.
The features you asked about sound like the older car specific adjustments for shift firmness, thats never been an option for the Rams unfortunately.
Autostick upshift is also a car based adjustment.
Diablo tune is the 93 tune, yes.

What happens when you try to disable TC in the quick adjust menu?

Thanks

Sorry took so long to get back to you crazy work hours and crazy sleep hours, anyway back to problems as far as traction control no matter how I try thru the quick adjust menu or thru the modify parameters menu I get the same answer (failed to update traction control) also I can't the MDS to turn off in the modify parameters menu and I would like to know what the (part throttle upshift adjustment) will adjust and I am assuming that the (throttle Boost adjustment) will increase the throttle response by moving the percentage up. I have also noticed that since I have loaded the diablo tune(93 Octane) thru the advanced tunes that when I put my truck in gear it takes a couple of seconds to go into gear doesn't matter if its drive or reverse and it also does this when i stop for a red light or stop sign and then i only apply brakes i don't change any gears truck wasn't doing this before just want to know if this is normal, and thanks for the info on the speed limiter works just fine in the advanced tunes menu just as you said. Thanks Kevin

I have never seenissue like that with the trans, are you changing any trans related parameters?

Is it a 6 or 8 speed?

On the MDS, what happens when you try to disable it?

No I have not changed anything related to the tranny the only things I have changed are the throttle boost and rev and speed limiters I have not adjusted any other features on the tuner because I'm not sure what some of them do this is why I have asked about a few of the adjustments and what they do like the (part throttle upshift adjustment) what does it do exactly, but back to the tranny it is a 6 speed auto and like I said I have not changed anything related to the tranny. As for the mds every time I try to disable it, it doesn't tell me anything it appears to disable it but then I check on the tuner and drive the truck and it is not disabled and the tuner still shows it as being enabled. Then I still have the problem with the traction control as stated in earlier post. Thanks Kevin

Mike L is at SEMA, but I contacted him and he would like you to load the current tune files as they are, then reload the tune with no throttle boost and see if that improves the situation.
