Trinity loosing connection during monitoring/data logging

I have a 2014 Sierra 5.3L and my Trinity is randomly loosing connection while driving. It first started doing it while i was monitoring while driving. It just gave a notice saying to please start the engine. Then last weekend I was logging data while pulling my trailer and it did it 4 times on the hour ride home from where I was. any ideas on what up? Thanks

do you have an analog input connected to the device?

It's happening while plugged into the truck through the ODB port and while I'm trying to monitor and/or log data.
And nothing else connected to the trinity

I also notice that the compass doesn't work anymore either... Really strange.
