I-1000-DCX messed up

Post by emgallup »

Hi...my I-1000-DCX for my 2013 Dodge Charger 5.7 Daytona has been running without a tune for 4 weeks as the car has been back and forth to the dealer with computer and recall issues...now that they are all taken care of I tried to put the 91 tune back on to no avail...first, the ADJUSTABLE PARAMETERS and OBD2 FUNCTIONS are grayed out and cannot be accessed...after I download updates to the devise, and it says it is up to date, when I plug it into the car, the devise will not let me get to the tune as it says I need an update, and a round and a round I go...it is very frustrating...it says it is Application 1r04i...help!!!!...please tell me what to do...thank you very much

if it is asking for an update at the vehicle plug it into the pc and let the updater run and it will download the file you need then you can load it to the car then tune it.

info.xml
I had hit the green check before...when I hit the red X it announces that my 2014 5.7L Dodge Charger is not compatible with the I-1000-DCX...as I said, it is messed up. Under the tune vehicle symbol the Adjustable Parameters symbol is still greyed out...under the scan tool symbol the OBD2 Functions symbol is also greyed out

the tool is already married, it seems you got flashed by the dealer and did not first restore the stock tune.

please fax, email or post proof of the dealer flash then we can reset the tool for you.

there is nothing messed up, adj param is greyed out until you tune the vehicle, OBDII has not been enabled.

I am having a similar issue.

I attempt to load a tune and get told that the car may need an update, please connect to pc.
Connect to PC and am told device is up to date.
Rinse, repeat.

I also get the error that I have an invalid serial number - though I am reading it straight from the tool.

FWIW, I show a tune loaded to the car already, but when I try to restore factory tune it errors out.
The VIN number showed on the tool matches the VIN number for the car.

It looks like the dealer updated the PCM as part of a recent recall (I just noticed because I was reading other peoples issues.)
