Factory tune

Post by Txyote »

I'm up for my yearly vehicle inspection on my 14' Silverado so I retuned my truck to its factory tune. I took it in after driving approximately 70 miles. My truck failed inspection.
My question is when or how many miles does it takes for the computer system to be completely back to the factory tune?

its not as much about miles as drive cycles, drive it normal for a few days and the monitors will reset...fwiw, it would have passed fine with the tune installed ;)

yeah, no reason at all to remove the tune man.. it will pass just fine..

but if you change tunes, you need to drive it for days before you can go for testing, so that all of the emissions readiness tests have been run and show as "complete"...

I've done tons of tunes for people that HAVE to have a tune installed in order to pass, due to their mods... ;-) no issues passing with a tune installed, nothing to worry about..
