This issue is pertinent to my 2014 Dodge RAM 1500 big horn 4wd 5.7 .
IT2 serial number I purchased it ten days ago.
1FSY7KF8LE
Here’s what I did/ what happened
I took it out of the box plugged it into my laptop.
It installed the drivers etc just fine then it Updated very quick.
Connected to truck……not supported check for updates.
Plug back into laptop, updates a lot, says it successfully saved new CALID for my truck
Hooked to truck updated CALID fine.
IT2 rebooted
I did not start truck or anything at this point I followed the screens to tune it.
Went to tune vehicle, picked easy tune, 87 octane. and no on tires and gears, Yes on speed limit
Then a message came up that it needs to install or adjust parameters, this will take up to 30 min, make sure lights are off.
I pressed continue.
The screen read:
Top Banner; “READING BACKUP”
Above the devil: “PCM READING…”
The progress stopped at 11%.
Bottom banner: “Original Backup”
It begins and reaches 11% in about 4 minutes but hangs up at 11% for 40 min. I unplug IT2.
I Iet the truck sit overnight. Started it in the am, CEL PU0100, lost coms w PCM
I cleared it and it has not come back.
Truck has been driven all day.
I plugged IT2 into laptop, it booted up and said “ deleting unused files”
I’m hoping that the IT2 just deleted the partial original backup.
What can I do now, should I just try again?
I will be calling the techline , In the truck with the IT2 plugged in at 859am, but wanted to post this up in case the tech can read it vice me telling all the details over the phone.
Also maybe some one has had this particular issue before.
IT2 stuck at 11%

Re: IT2 stuck at 11%
Just got of the phone with Diablo tech. Daniel walked me thru the process, and we were able to complete the PCM backup portion of the process, however the unit has a screen issue. It locked up and then would not let me make adjustments, it cycled back into the previous menu repeatedly, vice going forward.
So I AM able to drive my truck as we had completed the backup portion but not actually applying the tune. it wouldn't go past the fan control option.
So Ill be returning it from the vendor and getting a new one.
Note:
Although not in the instructions, the PCM backup has two additional stages and it is very time consuming. Have an empty bladder and beverage available. The failure in my IT2 did not effect the lenght of tie the backup took.

Re: IT2 stuck at 11%
Replacement IT2 received, I could tell imeadiatly the touch screen worked better.
This unit also frooze, but at 4%
I disconnected and tried again and it went well.
For some reason both my laptops keep telling me there is something wrong with the I drive the Tuner installed. My 6 month old Laptop scanned the drive, now it wont do anythign when I connect the IT2 to it.
SO I connected the IT2, with my factory backup and last tune saved in it, and connected it to my old laptop. It created the Drive and populated the files in five seconds. I was then able to export the files to my CMR ( hemifever) tuner and later get the custom tune loaded to the tuner.
It is very annoying that this computer alos keeps telling me to scan the drive etc. I did click leave me alone about this, but its not listening.
Hemifevers email instructions/links are very good.
I had a Predator, and currently a Trinity for my 08 Charger. The IT2 is much more user friendly sofar.
I'm done moddng the driveline and I didnt need the gauges etc that the Trinity Offers, so this is the best tool for me for my Ram.
