Tune will not finish installing

I have a 2006 Dodge Durango and purchased a U7137 Predator because vehicle was throwing a MDS code and I was hoping to bypass it to save me a bunch of money with Dodge.

I updated the tuner with the most current software (Ver 9R14) and after an initial vehicle compatibility update was able to successfully upload the 87 OCT Performance Tune.

I then spoke with a rep to learn how to bypass my MDS system but I have not been able to get a tune to complete install other than original backup since.

After I select to turn MDS off and select install it goes through the motions of saving my original file, then it writes the new tune PCM and TCM and here is where the issue continues to happen. It gets to the point of telling me to switch key off (sometimes takes two times) but once it tells me to turn key back on I can go no further. I have tried different sets of keys, pulled key out and then turned on, disconnected battery to reset vehicle PCM, turned off auto-light option and but can never advance pass the turn key on screen. I let it go for a few and then have to unplug tuner and then plug back in. It tells me a tune did not install and it goes through motion of installing backup file and the key command works flawlessly for that install.

I don't understand what could be causing the issue and really don't know if it's the tuner or the vehicle that's the problem. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated as I really want to turn that MDS off. Thanks

Sorry I meant a 2006 Dodge Durango, I had 1996 in my mind because I recently ordered parts for my Harley.
