Should I update my 03 6.0L?

Post by tahoe916 »

Hey all, I have a Predator with the 6.0 sticker on the back, the oldest one. My truck has had a tune for about 2 years without an update, been running fine getting about 15mpg with a 5" lift and 35" tires.

Should I update? Everyone seems to be talking about r20, however on the downloads page all I see is r45 with a date of 2006? Do you not support this product anymore? What the crap that sucks if true.

Appreciate any insight you can give me, thanks!

I have installed every update for the past 3 years, and have had no problems at all. I'm currently using r20...no problems. I just set it to the 100hp setting, to see what kind of mileage I'll get. With the truck set on 65hp, I was getting an average of 16 mpg.

TAHOE916,DO YOU HAVE A 7160 OR A 7165 TUNER? THE R20 REV WILL NOT WORK IN THE 7160.THE 7160 IS OUT OF SPACE AND THEY HAD TO PRODUCE THE 7165 TO ALLOW FOR ALL OF FORDS NEW REFLASHES. THE R20 REV IS FOR THE 7165 TUNER.
