Hey DS,
Got an Intune i1000 here. Updated fine a few weeks ago, modified stock tune and restored stock tune just fine a few times.
Went to restore stock tune today (modified stock tune on the car now) and got the dreaded "Disk Check" error. It froze about 5 times, but finally got through it and the Intune now gets to the menu.
However, it now shows "VIN Database error". It also looks like it's unmarried; the modified stock tune is currently on the car.
When connecting to a PC, it shows the two drives as usual, but the Intune drive where the executable lives shows as just a CD Drive icon. "Windows cannot access this disk" when you try to browse / launch it. The other drive where the tunes and such live seems to be OK. Tried it on another PC to be sure. I ran the "Virtual Disk Checker" under the advanced tools and all 3 drives came back OK.
My other i1000 and DCX connect fine; no issues with either one.

try to load this to the intune drive and see if the tool will import it, then see if you can launch the updater.

Re: Disk Check + VIN Database Error
Thanks Mike - tool imported it, all updated. Took a few restarts (and a few hangs), but it finally completed.mikel wrote:try to load this to the intune drive and see if the tool will import it, then see if you can launch the updater.
However, when I go to restore the stock tune, I get the error "No backups are stored VIN#" for my stock tune. Vehicle Info screen says Locked 0/1.

try to load a new tune and it will read out the file thats there and prompt you to send it to us to get it back to stock.

Re: Disk Check + VIN Database Error
Thanks Mike; I got the "PCM has been tuned before by a DiabloSport product" prompt, followed by "Please unplug this InTune and then connect it to a PC with internet access. You may now unplug the device and connect it to a PC" prompt.mikel wrote:try to load a new tune and it will read out the file thats there and prompt you to send it to us to get it back to stock.
Connected it to a PC, got the "Calibration updates loaded to inTune. Please follow the instructions on the inTune screen. This process may take several minutes" message... and now it's been sitting there for the last 30 minutes. inTune screen shows the "Tune vehicle, Scan tool, Settings" icons.
Is it safe to disconnect / reconnect to give it a little kick, or should I wait it out?

Re: Disk Check + VIN Database Error
Now it just says "This inTune is up-to-date". Should I try loading a tune again?

Re: Disk Check + VIN Database Error
It loaded a calibration update to the car. I was then able to load and unload a tune (return to stock) without a problem (releasing the license in the process).
Thanks for the assistance! /caseclosed
