Problems import error code

Post by srtram11 »

I got custom tuning, for my 2011 ram 1500, and I was trying to update by transferring a new tune file into tunes, anyways now I have an import error code so it doesn't work, and when I plug it into my truck it says error custom file and calibration, rebooting intune.. worked perfectly fine the other day.

hmm, can you open the intunes drive on your PC and tell me what files are located in there? or a screenshot could help too.

Have you been able to use this exact custom tune before? if this is your first time using the file, try deleting it from the intune all together, then just reload the file into the intunes root drive, as opposed to putting it into the tunes folder specifically, let the file import, then try again at the car.
No, i don't work here.

sorry I'm not following, when I open the diablosport drive I have

Documentation
autorun
cursup
diablosport
diablosport_cdc
intune_icon
intuneupdater2
intuneupdater2.exe.config
sqlite3.dll

and as far as the tune its, just and updated custom tune for a new mod. and I don't know what to delete because under tunes file nothing pops up other then last preloaded tune and backup tune

but when I plug it into the truck to tune it, it doesn't work., also sometimes intune goes whitescreen when I get the import error.

When you connect the intune to your PC, there are 2 drives that show up in your "This PC" or "My computer" menu. You are opening the wrong one. Put your custom tune in the other intune drive and try again.

so you want me to open the drive that has, files
logs
runtime
tunes
info

if that's the case i open tunes, and then drag and drop the custom tune from my desktop file to the tunes file.

ok, cool, so after you dropped the file in that folder, have you tried it at the car?

the way you want me to do it, is the normal way i usually do, but for some reason this time i get that import error code.. so it doesn't load on to the tuner. when i bring it to my truck now, it seems to have lost all the info on the tuner and wont get past the tune screen without reloading.

with the intune connected to your PC, what options do you have available in either drive? can you post screen shots of what you find in either drive? whats the error message you get when loading the file? can you post your info.xml file from the intunes drive here?

with the drive open on your screen, hold the Shift button and press "print screen" or "prt scr" on your keyboard. its gonna look like nothing happened and thats ok. then, open microsoft paint and as youre looking at a blank canvas, press and hold the CTRL button on your keyboard and tap the letter "V". if done correctly, you should see a copy of your screen inside of Paint. select the option to save the picture, then you can post the picture file here.

ok, so it looks like your intune is in good shape to load a custom tune.

post your custom tune here as well, please.

at this point, you SHOULD be able to drop the custom tune right into the Intunes root directory, as opposed to actually opening the tunes folder. If you do so, and it gives an error message, what is the exact message displayed?

Jays 91 tc off.drg
that's the custom tune.
when i drag into tunes file import tune decode error:-1 then i press continue on intune, and says please leave the intune connected to the pc. the intune will reboot and attempt to reload the file.
it never reloads it.
