InTune Duramax Shifting

Hi Gents,

I have an I2030 installed on my 2002 LB7 Duramax. When running on the two economy sport tunes it runs great, except when I wide open throttle and the truck downshifts to 3rd from 4th or 5th, it will rev to redline then will not upshift again. I will stay in 3rd gear unless I shift it to neutral and then back to drive. I have not and probably will not run it on the maximum performance tune as I don't want any over torque issues, just want to offset some of the bottom end loss I experience with 5" exhaust.

When this occurs it does not throw a code or limp mode the transmission. Suggestions?

sounds like the trans is not able to hold the extra torque, might be worth looking into a fluid/filter change or a soft part rebuild to freshen it up.
