1999 Ford F-350 V10 not supported

Post by kogelch »

I updated my intune last night, connected it to my 1999 ford f-350 v10. The intune asked me for the vin. After entering the vin I got a message stating my vehicle is not supported. I disconnected it and tried to update again, but it still says vehicle not supported. I also tried to drag and drop the ford tune download file into my intune but it says there isn't enough room. What file do I need to tune my truck. Please help.

Can anyone please offer some insight as to how I can tune my truck. I'm not sure if I am supposed to use the ford download or the update, or both.

I've finally got the immune updated and communicating with my truck. But now the issue is unless I load just a plain tune my truck doesn't run. Last night I loaded the 93 octane tune and adjusted a few perimeters. This morning when I tried to start it. The truck wouldn't fire. I loaded the original tune back and it fired right up. So I loaded the upgraded 87 tune without adjusting anything and it again fired right up. I went back in to adjust shift pressures and after loading the changes it wouldn't start. So I changed the perimeters back to stock but it still wouldn't run. I loaded the original followed by loading the 87 tune and it started right up. I loaded the 91 tune and it started right up. But if I try to modify it at all it won't run.

Anyone ever seen this before.

Ok, so I've had some time to play around and go back and fourth with what works and what doesn't. So far the best I can tell is if I edit more than a couple parameters and load the tune to the truck it won't run. I'm able to add 2 degrees timing via global adder. If I add timing via rpm based it won't start after loading. If I try to mod the shift point rpm at all it won't start. I am able to mod partial throttle pressure for 1-2 and 2-3 and it will run. If I try to include 3-4 it won't start. I am not able to edit idle rpm, MAF, injector at all. All of these result in a no start. I've also found that when my intune is building a tune or loading a tune, the fuel pump in tank runs the whole time. Also there have been times that I load a tune and after my truck feels like it on steroids. Then other times it is under powered and can't get out of its own way. Please help. I really don't feel loved me sending it back if I don't have to. Is it possible for me to just send you some logs and build me a tune that I can load to my intune and then to the truck. Or what's the next step to get my device working please. :crashing:

I decided to take it off and stop dealing with the hassle. I bought a livewire from 5star instead. I just don't know what to do with the Diablo from here. I have a Chrysler 300 SRT8 I was thinking about using it on. But I don't want it to cause problems. I think i just need to send it in to be repaired like you suggested a while back.
