Oil useage

I have a 2015 Silverado 1500 5.3 running kn intake, flowmaster, Diablo tune with Dod turned off and within 1500 miles of Diablo tune installed the oil has became darker and is now 1/2 quart low, and a given my truck has 15,000 miles and has had 5 oil changes and oil has always been crystal clear so with that being said is my truck running to hot now and causing the oil to burn and darken granted its not smoking or is it due to turning the dod off??

The DOD disable will not cause this, in fact it should help the oil consumption...
