Tune Issues & Touch Screen Issue

Post by bhunter0830 »

I have an InTune I-1000 being used with an 09 Challenger R/T. I have tried the preloaded tunes and even purchased a stock tune. I am not getting the hype over any of the tunes. I currently have to CAI 91 Octane Tune Installed with MDS off and have reset the TCM adaptations.

#1:I have had a couple issues with both preloaded and custom tunes. The car seems sluggish as if it's choking on itself. When driving in the city, it upshifts prematurely and ends up in 5th gear where it then fluctuates RPM while holding a steady peddle.
The only way I can seem to drive it is in autostick mode so I don't get dumped into 5th gear and bog down.

#2:I did a WOT pull yesterday and it hit the rev limiter, choked and then shifted into 2nd gear.

#3: There is no 93 Octane preloaded tune. That's ok, as I understand you are more than likely not getting true 93 Octane

#4:The touch screen can not be calibrated and I have to use a pencil eraser to make selections. When ever I need to press the Green Check Mark on the bottom right corner... Good luck, I have to press and press and press and press... You get the point.

I look forward to hopefully finding a solution to both these issues. I have had better success with mail order tunes where I send the PCM out and it gets sent back to me for far less expense that I have invested in this. I hope this can be resolved.

1. Did you add any throttle boost to the tune?

2. Did you adjust shift points in the tool?

3. The 93 tune is listed as Diablo tune or perf 93.

4. Give us a cal with the tool powered up and we can go through the screen calibration with you.

Thanks

1. Did you add any throttle boost to the tune?
Yes, I have added varying numbers from 5% - 20% to the throttle boost

2. Did you adjust shift points in the tool?
I have adjusted shift points in the tool, however they are currently placed at the "Stock" option.

3. The 93 tune is listed as Diablo tune or perf 93.
I will load and try the Diablo Tune and not change any parameters today.

866-404-6141 is the correct number to call for tech support about the touch screen? Your hours of operation are from M-F 8-5pm?

Called in with a short hold time. Maybe 30 seconds an spoke with Jared. He helped through the calibration and install the 93 Octane Tune and we adjusted the shift point and rev limits to help with bounced the rev limiter at WOT and should help with dumping into 5th gear. He suggested giving it throttle boost to see if it would resolve the bouncing RPM.

I have about 150 miles I'll add on this afternoon and we'll see how it responds.

Ok. Put about 170 miles on it. Mostly on the high way. Installed the 93 Octane tune adjusted the rev and shift points to 6200. No longer falls on it's face! YAY! I am still having the issue with not having a steady rpm between 40-60 mph just maintaining or increasing peddle to maintain speed going up inclines and so forth. I tried to do a WOT pull from a dig, but had to be careful due to traffic. I'll dump the logs up here an take some more tomorrow as I can do some WOT pulls on the track.

I am assuming these are the most recent data logs as the time stamps are the most recent, however the date and time is wayyyy off.
