Diablo Sport i2, temperature resilience ?

Curious to know if I can leave my i2 in my glove box in my truck so i can have access to a code reader at any time. Its convenient to have a code reader so i can scan my wife and my other friends cars for check engine codes.

I dont want to have any negative effects on the i2 since i have my trucks stock tune saved on the i2 im afraid that if the i2 fails how will I be able to put my truck back to stock?
