I2 compatibility car and truck

A friend is selling his I2 from his 15 challenger 5.7, will this work with my 13 ram 5.7 as well? Don't wanna buy than find out it won't work. Gonna install hemi fever tune if it is compatible. Thanks for any help. Sorry if this has been answered already. I'm new to computer tuning.

Yes, i2010 will work as long as he unlocks it.

So he told me the dyno technician had to uninstall the tune with his I2010 because they switched to an HP tune for supercharger install. I saw there's a 179 unlock fee but does it still need to be unlocked even tho he no longer has it installed in his car? Just trying to purchase and get a good deal since its 399 new.

if they restored the stock tune to the vehicle the device is unlocked.
