2016 Silverado 5.3 i1000 question

I have a 2016 Silverado 5.3L

i also have a i1000 DCX which i know i can't use from my previous truck(2014 Durango).

But i was going to take my brother i1000 from his older chevy.

My Question is, can i use the i1000 tuner to load new maps for my 16 Chevy Silverado? or do i need to get a new I2 tuner?

the regular intune i-1000 will work on your truck.. just make sure to run the updater on it first to update the tool to all the latest updates...
