Re: 8 Speed Transmission
If I update my trinity will this work now too? I see 1r13s as the most recent revision.
Thanks
Thanks
Re: 8 Speed Transmission
Is there issues with the download or is it just not working on some trucks. Should I be scared to try and download it.
Re: 8 Speed Transmission
No issues on i2, it's not released in Trinity yet. Just update your tool first and then you can read it.
Re: 8 Speed Transmission
Ok guys, if you've sent in transmission reads to us, go ahead and update your tools and you're ready to tune.
Re: 8 Speed Transmission
zach, i think i bricked my i2 trying to update last night. It never updated no matter how i tried it and now it isn't recognized by my computer or my car. It starts up with power, but most of everything is grayed out and i can't use those buttons. it's like the hard drive portion of the tool is missing, but the tool still powers on. Please help!

Re: 8 Speed Transmission
Zach,
Any timeframe when you'll have the update for the Trinity? From what I was reading on the website both the Trinity and Intune share the same tuning parameters and options. Would seem fairly straight forward to implement on the Trinity as well.
Also, have you guys seen a big improment on the 8 speed after tuning it? I know reading on other forums a lot of guys like me have been complaining about GM's crappy shifting with this transmission. To me it seems to be the tuning because mine doesn't always shift bad. Sometimes it's smooth as butter and other times it jerks.
Thanks

Re: 8 Speed Transmission
While the Trinity and Intune share the same tunes and options, they are two totally different animals when it comes to implementing capabilities. We are working to have it in there in a couple of weeks, just a matter of getting it in the tool and passing it through out in house testing.
The improvements are quite nice with the preloaded tunes. Firming up the shifts and knocking down the shift times.

Re: 8 Speed Transmission
ANyone who updated their i2 now has a good chance of seeing 8 speed tcm tunes for most late model trucks/SUVs, C7, and 16 Camaro as soon as its announced

Re: 8 Speed Transmission
So update the programmer then install the download in to the truck. Do we then still have to send you the file for the transmission.
Re: 8 Speed Transmission
I updated my I2 and it still sees my TCM as unknown and I don't have any tranny options
