Intune 2 reboot

Post by pukingdog »

Just purchased my intune 2. I ran a check for updates on my Mac. The updates installed fairly quickly, but once I clicked continue to reboot it just idles on a screen saying "please wait." It has been on this screen for over three hours. Is this normal? I am not sure if it should take this long to reboot.

I know you guys are off for the holiday, but I wanted to give an update. I left the tuner plugged into the computer still on that same screen trying to reboot overnight. I awoke this morning to find that it is still stuck at the same screen trying to reboot. I am going to leave it on there for now, just in case, but I am quickly running out of faith that it is going to work.

New update, I finally broke down and unplugged the device. I plugged it back into the computer and it began installing updates on its own without me opening the updater. I did notice that the first time I plugged it in and ran the updater it went through group_update4, but now has only gone up through group_update3 so I am hoping that means it finished group_update4. I am going to leave it back at the "please wait" screen while it tries to reboot again and check it this afternoon.

I just received the Intune i2 as a gift and am experiencing the same issue. After it installed and said it needed to reboot it gave me the "please wait" screen for 45 minutes before I unplugged it and tried again. I repeated this process 4 times and it still will not work.

I finally plugged mine into a PC laptop instead of my Mac. Then I was able to update it. I would suggest trying this if you are experiencing issues when updating with your Mac.
