Ford powered motorhome

Post by priceranch »

Just purchased the inTune for my Chev truck. Thinking of buying a license for my 2007 Fleetwood motorhome powered by the Ford V-10, looks like this will work for this vehicle?

they can be hit or miss, can you get the 4 digit box code off the pcm so we can verify?

Go figure, I can't find the PCM or the port. My license purchase will have to wait until I find both and see if they're compatible. One response on an RV forum said this Ford F53 didn't have an OBDII port. I'll get back to you if I find them, thanks.

I cant imagine it not having an OBDII port, strange.
PCM is likely under the hood, follow the harnesses :)

Does UBH1 sound like the code you're looking for?

Looking to decide if purchasing a license will be worthwhile. It's provided a great change on my 14 Silverado.

What parameters will the inTune be able to improve on this rig? PCM and TCM?

Can I expect a noticeable change in performance from the throttle and Tranny?

V10 tunes from Ford are VERY lazy and have a huge PE delay where they dont actually start making power until you are WOT for several seconds, loading the tune gets rid of that and allows for full power when needed, and also adds 20 rwhp or so on 87 octane.

Thanks

Looks like I have to purchase over the phone and can't do it on-line?

Yes, adding licenses needs to be done over the phone currently.
