My trinity recently quit powering up when plugged in the OBDII port but will power on via the USB port. Because of this I'm unable to load my original backup on my car.
I've ran continuity tests on the power cord and all seems to be fine there.
Will I have issues installing a new Trinity to my car if they're unable to fix my current one or can I just simply throw my original tune on the new Trinity before hooking it up to my car and be good to go?

Have you checked your fuses? Check things like diag, dlc, obd, cig lighter, etc.
