problem with intune on 2015 5.3 sierra

Post by RoughRiders »

So a while back I purchased an intune 1000 and tuned my truck with 87 tune and turned some stuff off like dod and torque manage and I worked great for a while and one day I was going to dealership so I decided to take it off and here's where the problems began.
So it went through the whole process of taking it off and at the end it threw an error and the tune stayed on so I said screw it and went to the dealership anyway. Well many attempts at it with help I still can't get it off. I have my stock ecm and tcm files saved on my laptop as well. Well today I took it to the dealership to get the ecm reflashed to stock and they were not able to do it. They said they tried twice, but they also may not know what they were doing. At this point it is either by another ecm or find some other way. The reason I am doing all of this is because I am putting a blower on my truck and my tuner said it needs to be stock tune with no other tune already on there. Any help is appreciated!!

The only files I have are the stock ecm and tcm, the intune was reset by a diablo tech and I inserted the stock files back on the intune and tried to retune it and it didn't recognize the vehicle vin. I don't have the error files I sent to the diablo tech at that time but I am still looking for them.

Since the dealer couldn't reflash my tcm and ecm does that mean the intune has locked the tune in? I thought these tunes didn't lock them in? Is it possible to download my stock files back onto the intune and upload them to the ecm/ pcm or is there something else I can do?

I'm not around the intune right now, I work out of town in the oilfield, but I will try when I get back in a couple of days. The last time I hooked it up to the pc though there wasn't anything in it or nothing different. The only thing i've been told to do is reset it and reload my stock ecm/tcm files and that didn't work either of the times that I have tried.
I was also told that the dealer would be able to reflash it back to stock no matter what but they were unable to do so, and I made them try it twice as well. It seems that maybe the intune has locked my ecm when it was being taken off and threw the error and put the 87 tune back on. My truck runs and drives well with no cels, but I need to tune for the supercharger and don't want to spend almost a grand on a ecm and tcm, and the tcm is inside the transmission so that will be a pain.
