NEW Intune I2 and SRT-4 Neon Problems

Post by System_Crash »

Just purchased an Intune I2 Pulled out of the box. (Last night)
Installed driver for my computer.
Updated Intune I2 (with usb cable on computer with the updater installed on the decive).
Registered Intune I2.
Setup the wifi.
Walked out to my car (SRT -4 Neon) Looked through the menus.
Created backup (worked fine)

Tried to flash the 93 canned tune the flashing wheel starts spinning (The device is getting pretty warm by now) The device shows an ALL white screen for a split second and restarts around 15% flash completed. (It looked like the "splash screen" right after powering up the device)
So it re-boots and tries to restore factory flash. (FAILS).

Try again (FAILS) (try it a 3rd time and (IT WORKS! )
OK so, restored the factory backup. (Worked)
Flash the 93 tune (Worked)

Start looking through menus. The device is about as hot as a phone playing videos on it. (FREEZES) (Reboot)

Starts working again, I decide to take a drive and datalog. (Works fine)

This afternoon I decide I want to take a drive on my lunch hour and datalog just to see how it's running / check for knock. It starts out fairly cool and after about 10 minutes it's pretty dang warm again. Did 3 logs and it (Freezes) when I try to exit the record screen the third time.

I notice this Intune I2 has no cooling fans or holes, Is it possible these things are just overheating? Why in the world did it fail to flash the first time and when trying to restore backup? Then work later? Before you ask there was no low battery problem or a connection issue at the DLC. I flash cars all day long at work (Dodge dealer OEM flashing). (and never had this kind of reliability issue before) Is this an issue you are currently working on, possibly an update soon?

I will say I DO feel a big difference since the flash. I'm also overboosting (like if you unhook the battery on the OEM tune) Will this stop after the pcm learns the wastegate "Travel" Like it does with the OEM tune?

Any other SRT-4 owners care to chime in with their experiences is welcome. Starting to kick myself for not buying a predator when I could.

I have an 05 srt and I am having an issue with my intune. I can't even get my car to start after uploading the 93 octane tune. When I plug the tuner back in it says the vehicle is not supported. Sounds like you had better luck than I did, definitely not happy, can't even drive the car.

Try to restore the backup again, this time when it says "turn the key off" make sure you don't go where you can pull the key out. Stop at 2 clicks back or one.
