exactly :)

FWIW, the 14+ trucks dont lose nearly that much, they have gotten a lot more aggressive with the cals too, they pick up good power on e85 now.

I really figured this didn't take a course in statistical mathematics. Even though the mpg is less with E85 in my vehicle, the actual cost per mile at that lower mpg is less as well.
I use only E85 and the cost almost always comes out ahead. And with the 2015 Sierra the way E85 drives is wayyyy better than regular fuel. The E85 haters will always try to prove you wrong, but the math is not wrong. Still cheaper with E85 and much better drive.

$2.05 for regular (87) or $1.38 for E85. Pretty easy choice.

When I was on vacation last October, I fueled up at grain elevator/ E-85 plant in the middle of the cornfields for $1.19 a gallon less than half that 87 octane was going for at the local gas stations. Yes, my gas mileage took a hit of about 3 mpg, but 6.0L sure loved the 105 octane and the fuel was grown in that county by farmers and not terrorists overseas. By the way it was a blender pump where you pick the amount of gas that was blended in, the more gasoline, the more per gallon. Cost per mile?

I wish more people would look at it as cost per mile as opposed to miles per gallon :)
