2011 Ranger tire rpm and engine rpms do nothing
2011 Ford Ranger 4.0 4x4 3.73 and aftermarket 265/75/16
1. installed tuner, had to correct ratio to 3.73, updated tire rpm to 638
is speedo right? tough to tell.
2. for giggles, I changed my axle ratio to 1 (and saved)
my speedo did not change. wow, this should have made a difference
3. put axle ratio back to 3.73 and put tire rpm to 1200 (and saved)
my speedo did not change. again, this should have made a difference.
4. changed tire rpm back to 638 and changed max rpm (1) to 3,000
stomped on the gas and it ran up to 5500 before shifting.. again, intune functions make no difference,
why did my speedometer not change for steps 2 and 3?
why did the max rpm not function?
at this point I think intune does not 'do' anything whatsoever to my vehicle - how can I verify that my intune is more than just a little box that beeps? lots of intunes have been sold.... how can I verify that this works on 2011 ranger
yes... I 'saved' and applied the tune to the vehicle each time

well, rats. I already sent tuner back. doesn't cost me a dime to reorder another one. I would be happy to reorder another one but I will be testing the tuner (eg, I will test every adjustable parameter to ensure that the tuner does in fact affect the truck). should I reorder another one?
Re: 2011 Ranger tire rpm and engine rpms do nothing
Lemme finish the bench testing on it to make sure everything is working as it should. This was done before me so I did not know it was in this state.

Re: 2011 Ranger tire rpm and engine rpms do nothing
I just received my I2 today and am having this same issue. Is there a fix? The main reason I purchased was to fix my speedometer after a gear change. The top speed limiter is gone. (Love it) and it does finally break the tires loose on takeoff, but I don't see a change in the speedo or shift points.

did you set the enable tire/gear change parameter?
Gotta do that for the tire or gear changes to take effect.

Nope I didn't do that,
I will go try right now, thanks for the quick response!
Re: 2011 Ranger tire rpm and engine rpms do nothing
No luck, The tool will no longer let me access those perimeters. Any suggestions to get back to the advanced options? If I enter "Advanced Tune" Three Icons appear (Instal Standard Tune) (Instal Custom Tune) and (Diagnostics) The only one accessible is (Install Standard Tune) . Any Idea what I have screwed up? Is there a more comprehensive user guid available? The folded poster that came with the I2 is not very helpful. Thanks

I called Tech Support, the fellow that answered was very helpful and coached me through correcting and saving the perimeters, We installed them and the truck feels stronger and has nosed limiter, however the speedometer still doesn't register correctly. Oh well, I'm 75% happy.
