Can't Load Custom Tune on i3

I bought an i3 from a friend who said it's the i3 Platinum, but when I attempt to drop a custom tune from my tuner onto the i3 drive on my PC the i3 says "An unexpected error has occurred. Please wait while a failure log is created." and then nothing happens. I've tried it multiple times and it always does the same. I made sure to update the i3 before attempting to load the custom tune. My question is it the i3 going bad or could it possibly not actually be the Platinum version he sold me which doesn't allow for custom tunes?

The custom tune came from Hemifever. It was previously loaded onto my Predator. It's a .drg file.

well, a Predator file wont load to an intune

Send him the backup from the intune and ask him to reapply the changes to that file.

I need more help. I was finally able to get my old Predator read my PCM so I could restore the original tune before hooking the i3 up to pull the original tune to send to Hemifever, but the Predator gave me an error message after trying to restore the original tune and the custom tune is still on my car. Can I pull the original tune from my car with the i3 if I can't get the Predator to unmarry and the custom tune is still flashed?

no worries, connect the i3 and go to load a tune, it will read th backup and see its a tune and prompt you to check for an update where it will download a stock file and load it to the pcm.
