Torque Management settings

Post by chupa-c »

I recently purchased a predator for my 2003 Silverado and I am impressed with the results I have gotten, but I was wondering if someone could please tell me what each setting in the Torque Management section means and what settings are best.

RE: Torque Management settings

The TM settings allow you the option of completely disabling the TM from the PCM. We remove some TM in the tunes we provide, but for maximum torque output in any situation, these should be set to 'off'.

Go here:

It explains the torque management settings. Hope that helps.

Too many generic answers from a certain person on this forum.

Not sure why you would take a shot at me like that, but please try to understand that this forum takes up a very large amount of my time. If you notice, I'm here at all hours of the night and on the weekends, and I try to help as much as I can. Sometimes I may not get into as much detail as you may like, but I try to give an answer and be to the point.
I'm not a great typist either, and if you'd ever like to give me a call at the office I'll spend as much time as you like explaining anything you'd like to know.

Thanks

Sorry if I was a little harsh, but chupa-c asked 1 question that did not get answered.

"but I was wondering if someone could please tell me what each setting in the Torque Management section means and what settings are best."

If you would have directed him to the link that would have been great.

A lot of people buy the Predator without any prior knowlege of the different settings in the unit. The manual is very poorly written too.

I am also new to this myself, other than doing some OBD I tunes with TunerCat.

I am now learning EFILIVE, but would love to get the Chipmaster Revolution software to mod further. It would be great to mod, then upload to the Predator and flash the truck.

Anyways sorry about the comment earlier. Take care.

It's all good.
I am aware that the manuals have some shortcomings, and we are planning to redo all of them.
We can thank Johan for the link you posted, as he wrote that up based on the most frequently asked questions in these forums. I'll make a new thread with that link and make it a sticky on Monday so everyone can find it easily.
Shouldn't be too much longer before we release the single user versions of CMR....stay tuned!

Thanks

yeah, that was a little harsh... no call for that... these guys are constantly under the gun with all of the support requests and questions that they get, and like Mike said, he's even here AFTER hours and on weekends... and not even just here, but on SEVERAL OTHER forums as well.

Cut the guy some slack... as far as I'm concerned, he goes above and beyond his call of duty... try getting ahold of one of those "other" places way after hours or on weekends and see what'cha get.

And he only had 1 question that didn't get answered???? have some patience...

and if that guy looked around the site at all, he would have seen/found that link for himself right on his product page... "Click here to see more details on how to adjust parameters."
