Class Action Lawsuit

Post by Dissatisfied »

Normally I just read these forums hoping for some help from Diablosport. After investing $800 on a 7142 and a 7165 programmer, I am still waiting for programs that work without issues.
The 7142 for my 03 Cobra pegs the wideband rich from 3500 RPM to redline, I was promised an update, well about a year later Diablosport came out with one that says "Release 01 (current) (NOTE ONLY FOR NEW PRODUCTION or U7000 converted Predators )" and my 7142 will not support the new program because it was a early production (blue case) model.
The 7165 is for my 2007 F350 6.0 liter, programs R10, R13, R17, R19, R20, and now R03 and still problems, need I say more?
My brother bought a 7165 for his 2005 6.0 liter and he has had alot of warranty work done on head gaskets, a new turbo, and EGR cooler.
My Dad bought a 7160 for his 2003 6.0 liter and had soot buildup in the overflow tank and puked alot of antifreeze before he sold the truck.

So I am asking if anyone is interested in joining a "CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT", if so post a reply to this thread.
Thanks

I'm In.

I had my PCM, oil pump and all my theft system components replaced in November 2007 4 months after downloading the new r19dz tune. Wish I had kept my original tune!! At least with it the only problem was a bypassed factory anti theft system.

I wonder if theres Ulterior motives to this bypass.

If I had a Diablo sticker in my window would a carjacker see it as a personal Invite?

Is Diablo behind a huge conspiracy for car thefts?

See my poll on my post dated 4/15/08.

Please answer it I am curious how many are experiencing factory theft light flashing issues after startup.

A class action suit pertaining to what exactly? On what grounds do you base it?

As I explained in your other thread, the Ford PCMs do not store the VIN, so all you can see there is a bunch of FFFFFs.
How can they tune for the VIN if they cannot even read it off the PCM??

Thank you Mike I will call Ford about the Vin being stored in the PCM. Seems like it should be there for vehicle specific tuning. How can we get a specific tune then?

I have sent Mike W. an email in regards to his Complaint Department thread with NO response, I guess I shouldn't be surprised! I thought any unhappy customers may want to file a formal complaint with the Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum(850)414-3300

The VIN has nothing to do with tuning the truck. The File loaded into the PCM has a file name. Hell you have even posted it in your signature. TNAA7Y5. What do you think that is? Thats the file specifically for your year Excursion. The other "good" tuners you speak of rely on the same information from your TNAA7Y5. If you can tell me why this VIN information is so pertinent I would love to know. Here is what it means:

Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)

World Manufacturer Identifier (WMI)

The first three vehicle identification number (VIN) positions are the world manufacturer code.

1FD — Ford Motor Company, USA, incomplete vehicle
1FT — Ford Motor Company, USA, truck, completed vehicle
3FT — Ford Motor Company, Mexico, completed vehicle
Brake Type and Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR)

The fourth VIN position is the vehicle brake type and GVWR code (all vehicles use hydraulic brakes).

N — 8,501-9,000 pounds GVWR with driver and front passenger air bags
S — 9,001-10,000 pounds GVWR with driver and front passenger air bags
W — 10,001-14,000 pounds GVWR with driver and front passenger air bags
Vehicle Line, Series and Body Type

Positions 5 through 7 indicate vehicle line, series and body type.
