check engine llight with no faults stored

hi im getting a check engine light on my 06' 5.9l.......theres no fault stored...my tuner will not restore the stock tune,i did overwrite the current tune with the same one and now the check engine light is out,what sucks is i cant return it to stock and why was my check engine light on? have any of you guys run in to this?

where u checking the faults with your predator? if so sometimes the programmer would not read the codes i had to hook up a star scan to find out what codes i threw.

Did you try forcing the write, on my tuner I have that option, what code are you getting? Try the key trick to learn the code...

A buddy of mine had a fault code, but the Pred. would not show it. When I hooked up my Smarty to his truck, showed the code and cleared it. IDK what the deal was there.
