2022 Chrysler 300S V8
Bypass cable installed, went to hook up my Trinity-2 for the first time. Just for giggles, I decided to run a diagnostic test with the T2 before I loaded the factory data in prep for the tune. I had no MIL light beforehand. I just wanted to see.
The test turned up U0100. I thought it strange to see that, so I cleared the code. Unhooked the T-2, started the car, all was fine.
Ran the T2 to copy the stock data. All went fine. Copied successfully. System rebooted, I disconnected it. Started the car again and MIL light came on. I ran the T-2 diagnostic tools and it found another U0100 code.
Whats that all about?! Anybody have this happen to them?

Re: U0100
I’ve seen that code after reading a stock tune. When you flash one of the canned tunes or a custom tune it should clear the code.

Re: U0100
When the tuner is communicating with the pcm it can disrupt communication with other modules on the CAN bus. I wouldn’t worry about it. I’ve tuned quite a few vehicles and never had any issues.

Yes, and it should clear any codes when you flash the pcm.
Re: U0100
Thanks PJD,
BTW, while we’re on the subject of codes. Do you know of any ODB two scanners that would clear any hidden codes that only the dealer can see?
I was looking into buying this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008XN7NUG?li ... xed_m_asin
Even though I know it’s a bit overkill. Although I do like the ability to run a full diagnostic and reset the TPMS

Re: U0100
I have an Innova 5610 that shows manufacturer specific codes, I would assume it can clear them too. It won’t clear P1400 though, that one stays no matter what. The only car I’ve seen with P1400 is my 2017 Chrysler 300 S. My 2022 scat pack doesn’t have it, and it never showed up on a bunch of customer’s jeeps, cars, and trucks I’ve tuned in the last few years. I think Diablo got the P1400 thing figured out a while back.
Re: U0100
P1400?! Why would you assume that’s what I was referring to?
All kidding aside, you read my mind!
Yes, according to many sources Diablosport licked that one a while ago. I think it only pops up if you were to switch the PCM back to the stock one. Mikel, correct me if I’m wrong.
Still, I wanted to hedge my bets with a heavy duty scan tool that could access it.

I’m not sure if even dealership level tools can clear it. It’s my understanding that code gets permanently set in other modules also like the body control module and maybe others.
