Trying to update T1000 - No success

I have a T1000 I'm trying to update to the latest CROM file for use with a 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T 5.7.
Last vehicle was a 2008 Charger SRT 6.1

It has the following info under Tool Info:

Auto Connect is ENABLED.
Legacy Connect is DISABLED.
A tool was found on COM4 at 57600 baud.
XML RPC commands are AVAILABLE.
XML RPC protocol version is 1.60
Tool type = 'Trinity'.
Serial number = 'serial number is here'.
Part number = 'trinity_manager'.
CROM version = 'trinity_manager-1r07a 01/07/2010 03:17:34 PM boot4'.
Vehicle VIN = ''.
Vehicle Calibration = ''.
Original backup NOT saved.
Tool is Married FALSE.
Single user tool FALSE.
Using Class2 Protocol FALSE.
Calibration Updates are NOT supported.
A Calibration Update is NOT required.
XML RPC WILL be used for FRG transfers.
Tune compression is MANUAL.
Tool registration is SUPPORTED.
Tool does NOT support multiple ECUs.
Tool reports 1 ECUs.
Multi ECU Backups : 0
Marriage VIN :
Tool ID :
Desc :
Multi ECU Tuning : 0
Server:


I used DSdownloader 2.5.0.14
crom file: trinity_dcx_gas-1r13k_update.crom

I saw the Upload Tool upload the crom file once and the progress bar was active during upload.
It never changed from "trinity_manager-1r07a" under tool info and if I try to upload it again it says,
"retrieving crom list" and no progress bar activity
then
"Select Options -> Change Vehicle Type on Trinity to have crom update applied"

It then resets and displays "The Trinity will now walk you through the vehicle selection screen"
Only thing is the year only goes to 2010 and the crom was never applied I guess.
I have no other choices and choosing a vehicle just has it loop back to "The Trinity will now walk you through the vehicle selection screen"

This was all on USB power

What am I missing?

There are no newer updates for that old Trinity T1000... . that tool was discontinued many years ago, and the update servers for it do not exist anymore... So there are no new updates for that olllld discontinued Trinity T1000...

So by 2013 it was already discontinued? Yet I see posts from people in 2018 updating it

No, it wasn't back then... but it is now, and has been for years now... hence why the update servers don't exist anymore... The updates are not available anymore...

does this T1000 work currently?
If so, I would not mess with it. The DCX croms got split later on, and its not gonna be easy to get it going.

I can't select 2013 for this vehicle. List of choices only goes to 2010.

tough spot. even if there was a crom to load, chances are better than 50% that it would ask for an update once connected to the vehicle, and the server that delivered those updates is long gone.
Trade it in for a 25% discount on a current device that will just work :)
