Pinging since installing tune
Hello. Looking for some guidance. I purchased the predatorX tuner for my 2015 Chevy Colorado. I got this to change the wheel size so the speedometer is more accurate since I have non stock tires. I installed the 87 tune and I noticed Im getting some notable pinging between 20-35 miles an hour. I tried to revert back to a modified stock engine tune. But got an error code: uFTC. Eventually was able to get the tune to write but that pinging is still there for some reason. It goes away if I use 93 octane. I called phone support to see if we can adjust the spark advance to see if that would help. They advised me that the parameters are adjustable before writing the tune but I can't see any real tuning options that would allow me to resolve this spark knock/Pinging. Its mostly fan power settings and RPM limit on and off.

Re: Pinging since installing tune
Were you experiencing this at part throttle or WOT?
We dont add any timing at part throttle generally, or at cruise, so its unclear what would cause this.
If back to stock, its 100% on the factory calibration, so its hard to say why it would be different on knocking now.
Did you switch fuel stations?
Any other mods done to the vehicle?
